Summary

For those seeking a more immersive sea kayaking experience, AWE offers the Three Coasts Multi-Day Paddle. This tour is perfect for people of all abilities and no previous sea kayaking experience is required. As this is a somewhat physically demanding experience, a good level of fitness is required.  In response to feedback from previous guests, we've designed this excursion for folks who wish to explore different coastlines in Eastern Newfoundland. The tour is also ideal for adventure clubs, youth camps and private groups. At the heart of the Three Coasts trip are the various communities that we paddle - each with a rich cultural history and friendly faces. Behind those faces are folks who are keen to chat and welcome you to their home. While weather determines which locations we paddle on any given day, we typically head to various launch sites on the Eastern Avalon Peninsula, such as Conception Bay Harbour, Spread Eagle, Aquaforte, Ferryland and, of course, Cape Broyle. Throughout our 3-days together, we will explore Newfoundland’s rugged coastline, visiting waterfalls, sea arches and shipwrecks. This experience also has the potential for many wildlife encounters, and it is not uncommon to see whales, seals, puffins and other marine life.

Important considerations before booking: The Three Coasts experience offers three (3) individual days of sea kayaking, no camping required. It requires participants to provide their own transportation to and from each kayaking location. Our guests typically stay at one of the many amazing B&Bs on the Southern Shore, and use this as their base to explore. This experience is also weather dependent. Even though we have more flexibility with this tour (we can choose locations based on favourable conditions), the weather is still a key factor in whether or not we can paddle. Although we operate rain or shine, we will not operate in high winds. For your safety we diligently monitor the forecast and will notify you no later than 2 hours before your scheduled tour if we must cancel. Please understand we have no control over the weather, and we will make calls to keep you safe. We ask also that you include a rest/bad weather day in your planning.
